Weekly lessons run from August-June. The monthly cost is based on tuition for the school year spread equally over each month. 

• Trial Lesson (20 minutes) - $20 per lesson

• Beginner Lesson (30 minutes) - $136 per month 

• Intermediate Lesson (45 minutes) - $204 per month

• Advanced Lesson (60 minutes) - $272 per month

• 45 Minute Audition Coaching - $58.50

• 60 Minute Audition Coaching - $78

• Travel (this is for lessons where I travel to your home) - based on the IRS Standard Mileage Rate; added to the initial lesson rate

Rates will increase on a yearly basis.

Please note that these policies apply to students who take lessons through me directly. If you are looking to schedule lessons with me through Day Violins, please email me for the studio's specific policies. 

• ATTENDANCE: Attendance is required for each lesson. Please get in touch with me as soon as possible if you need to cancel, either by email or phone. Tuition is nonrefundable, and you are responsible for the full monthly payment for your reserved time slot whether or not you attend the lesson. If attendance issues occur consistently, I may feel the need to release you from the studio. 

• NO MAKEUP POLICY: Your payment reserves a dedicated time slot in the studio. If you cannot make your lesson time, your lesson will not be rescheduled, but you may choose to switch to an online lesson at your scheduled time. 

• BE PROMPT: Arrive before your lesson begins so that you are ready to play when your time starts. If you are late to your lesson, your time will not be extended. You will also still be responsible for your full monthly payment. 

• COME PREPARED: Arrive with your instrument, music, lesson book, etude books, and anything else you need to be successful in your lesson. Students must practice their instrument every day in addition to completing their listening. 

• PRACTICE: Students are expected to practice their instrument every day. Your practice should last at least as long as your lesson time, if not longer. If practice instructions are unclear, please speak with me about how we can work together on your practice regimen. 

• PAYMENT: Payment is due at the start of each month, either by check, cash, or Zelle/Venmo/Paypal. 

• PARENTS: It is vital to the success of your child for you to be involved in the lesson, especially if they are young. It is very difficult to learn how to practice on your own as a youngster. Along with the commitment from your child, your commitment is needed as well, if not more. I like to involve the parent in the lesson so you are able to practice with your child at home, especially with beginners and young children. Please plan to be present during the full lesson.
