Although renting is an option, I do recommend purchasing an instrument so that you can get trade-in value later for bigger sizes. Before buying an instrument, make sure you know your price range. Suzuki School Recordings - This includes both violin and viola books.
IMPORTANT: The Suzuki School Book 1 recording should be your first purchase as a beginner. Listening is the most important part of learning a new instrument. If you are not a beginner, wait to purchase any recordings until I consult with you.

IMPORTANT: This book is required for all parents. Written by Dr. Suzuki himself, it describes the entire philosophy that I use to teach. It is vital for parents to understand the method so they have a full comprehension of the environment needed to foster musical ability.
